Farm
Production in the United States
In
the 1820s, when population was around 10 million in the United States,
72% of the people ( 7.2 million ) was involved in agriculture. But
looking at present day the U.S. has a population of 270 million, from which
2% of the people ( 540,000 ) are involved in food production.
Currently
the U.S. is producing 2400 kcal for a person a day. A person who
lies in bed all day requires between 1440 to 1600 kcal a day to keep them
alive. Meanwhile active people, who do everyday tasks, requires more,
around an average of 2250 kcal a day. Table 1.0 gives the Basil Metabolism
Rate averages for an active adult.

What
is a possible solution to increase Farm Production?
First
we must implement more agricultural programs to increase the yield of food
production. To get this done amble fundings are needed to obtain
all the necessary farm gears. The U.S. government spend billions
just for one fighter plane. I believe that more money should be given
attention for research better techniques to increasing farm production.
